Heverth called the weyrlings by their dragons, Your next lesson will start soon, bring something to write on.
K'met quickly finished his drawing and waited the weyrlings would copy the anatomy drawing and be told to study it and make sure they knew the parts when their quiz came next lesson.
K'met then thought about something and said to Heverth, tell them to put themselves either into a group one or a group two on either side of the room when they come. If need be I will rearrange them to my satisfaction, but this will start them.
Heverth then said to the weyrlings, Mine says to arrange yourselves into two equal groups on either side of the room. If need be he will rearrange you. Tell your riders this as you come in.
(OOC: I am going to use this to check off who's picked a wing and who I need to assign a wing. Unnamed rider will be assigned by their numbers. Once you have either gone to a wing of your choosing or I have assigned you and your dragon, your name will be in bold. (Left Wing)1. K'lain tilted his head when Mnemoth relayed the message to him and pursed his lips, riffling through his things. "Something to write on... something to write on... AHA!" The brownrider weyrling stood up, a smug, triumphant smile on his face, and held up a carefully rolled fistful of hide scraps, shoving them into his pocket. He paused, then mused aloud, "Should probably bring something to write with, too, huh?"
:If you say so, mine,: the brown replied, twisting around to attempt to examine an itchy patch on his hindquarters. :I itch again,: he whined.
K'lain smiled dryly, plucked up the jar of oil he had obtained during their previous lesson, and took care of the patch. "I'll give you a proper, snout to tail, this evening, okay?" he said after giving the brown a quick, cursory examination. From the looks of things, he didn't need it, just now, but he probably would come nightfall.
:Alright.:
Satisfied, K'lain snatched up a pair of pens and a small bottle of ink--it would hold better on the hide than charcoal would--and then, with Mnemoth beside him, made his way quickly to lesson. As they entered the classroom, though, Mnemoth stopped, eyeridges lowering momentarily, and K'lain paused to look curiously at the little dragon.
:I was supposed to tell you... OH! We are to select a side of the room to make equal groups.:
K'lain turned back around, looked at the room, looked back at his dragon, and said, "Well, since we're the first ones here, we can't really make things equal, can we?" He turned back forward, then gestured for Mnemoth to follow. "Left," he declared, walking over and settling himself off to the side and out of the way. Mnemoth, faintly bewildered but content that his was satisfied with the decision, followed.

Keebrith was waiting for D'tre to apply a last bit of oil on the Bronze's tail. They had a system where D'tre bathed and oiled him in the morning before lessons that way he wouldn't be distracted and pay attention when the Weyrlingmaster was speaking. Keebrith heard and passed on the message he recieved from Heverth.
"I suppose they are assumming that we know how to write, eh? There is no point in bringing something to write with if you can't read or write." He shrugged. D'tre understood how to read some things and he was also quite capable or understanding maps and daigrams. Actually writing was something he didn't know how to do. He had no need for it as a deck hand. Most the lower class on Pern didn't know how to write. Odd that the Weyrlingmaster would assume they all knew. Then again, he had been brought to the Weyr very close to the time of the Hatching. IT might be most people learned while a Candidate waiting for the Hatching or to impress.
D'tre walked with Keebrith into the classroom. As they were the second ones there, they decided to move to the opposite side. It had nothing to do with liking or disliking the other rider and everything to do with being logical and keeping the room even. To the right it was. He sent the other boy a friendly smile and stood rocking on his feet waiting for the others to arrive.

R'cay rummaged through his dresser for something to write on and to write with when Crounth growled at him. R'cay stopped and looked at the blue What I'm going as fast as I can relax. Crounth snorted at him Hurry your gonna be late for class hurry hurry hurry. R'cay found some paper and glared at the dragon as he ran out of his room to the classroom.
R'cay ran into the classroom and saw that the rest of the wyerlings had made two groups on eather side of the room. He looked from the left to the right as Crounth walked up behind him and nudged him toward the right side of the room.

Mine, its time for us to go to lessons. We need something to write on. Quinsyth said matter-of-factly, and the rider-boy just snorted. "What does he think I'm made of? What could be so important I'd have to waste a hide?"
Irritably the boy rummaged through his things, it wasn't as if he kept that kind of thing on hand. He wasn't a scribe! He wondered about his brother, as an assistant to the Captain he learned to recognize some of the alphabet, and could mimic it, but D'tre had no training at all. "I don't have anything, Quin, should we just go?"
Yes, S'rtol, we should. And the blue pair left, as they entered, Quinsyth noted, And we should go to one side of the room or the other.
S'rtol didn't have to be told twice, he immediately went to the side his brother was on. He nudged the older boy and whispered, "Hey D'tre, did you bring anything for writin'? I don't have any hides. I thought about bringin' an old shirt though." ----- Aramyth fluttered into the room followed by Hers. There was no other way to describe the graceful green's movements. She was petite and light on her feet, and her moves were like a dancer's. She moved herself to stand next to her brown brother, Hello Mnemoth.
Nashira stood quietly next to her green and smiled softly in greeting to the brown's rider. She wondered what sort of things they would be learning in her lessons. Surely this rider stuff was going to be interesting.

Falia and Naraleth slipped into the room. Naraleth was beautiful like always. Falia slipped over the left side of the room so as to even it out.
K'met watched as the dragons filed in and went to one side or the other. He pointed to the left side and said, "The Left side will be wing 1, and you guys can group up and give me a name when I finish lessons today. The right side will be wing 2 and you can come up with a name when I finish lessons today. I expect a name by the next lesson. Bronzes are automatically the wing leaders, the rest of you will have to work for rank."
(OOC: With so few people I am going to post assignments, wait a little bit longer for people, and then post the next part of the lesson.)
