Character Info:
Name: K'met
Age: 23
Gender: Male (Heterosexual)
Rank: Weyrling Master
Location Weyr
Family:
- Mother: Kertrila; keeps house
- Father: Javemet; beastcrafter
Appearance:
He has dark brown, almost black, curls that reach just bellow his ears before cutting off. He has long lashes that he hates because he thinks they make him look girly, but he always seems like he doesn't care about his looks, with outfits often being unmatched and his hair a royal mess.
He has a heart shaped face with big eyes that are framed by those long lashes. His nose has a bump in the middle of it and it is twisted to the side, messing up that innocent face. On his right cheek, he has a scar from where he accidentally cut himself with a knife when he wasn't being careful. The strange thing though is that he always wears his knife, a present from his father.
Personality:
He is often thought of as a loner. He never really likes other people that much. He feels unsure of himself and what to say when he is around others. He doesn't care about what others say about him, and also doesn't really care about his appearance. He cares only about his dependable Heverth. Nothing except Heverth truly matters to K'met because what could be more important than his wonderful bronze?
He is never really seen around, except when someone gets it into there head that they might be able to talk to K'met and make him come out of his shell. He often gets embarrassed and so will act angry that they disturbed his thought process because he doesn't know how to act or talk to others well. Heverth sometimes works with K'met on this, but normally the two of them know each other so well that there are no blundering about with speech.
The only reason that he is ever a good weyrling master is just a plain fact, he doesn't like tricks. He isn't super bossy but his Heverth often likes to use his influence on weyrlings. Heverth also often talks for K'met through other peoples dragons, knowing what he wants. K'met is also good about getting right to the point since he doesn't like to talk a lot. He would much rather tell the weyrlings what they need, maybe demonstrate, and then he would be done. He doesn't drag class out to the point where everyone is bored and no one cares to listen any longer.
K'met is learning though. He has always sort of bee there, stern and apart. Some people wonder, is this quiet and shy man actually enough of a leader to impress bronze, and the answer is yes. In his quiet ways he demands respect without even noticing it. People follow him without even realizing why because of his kind and quiet ways. Without even realizing it most werylings would do anything for this man that never speaks more than he has to and is always kind. He is a different kind of bronze rider, not noisy about his leadership, but quiet and not even realizing himself that he has these leadership abilities.
History:
K'met was born to a simple mother who kept the house. His mother was mute and so only her hands could tell her stories. His father was a beastcrafter and watched over the herd on the high areas. K'met, originally Kervemet, was often left alone with his mute mother that could have no more children because he had been such a difficult child to carry. His father had never liked to talk, and loved his silent wife dearly. In a way, this was a good life, except that Kervemet never really learned to talk with others properly and so would have trouble talking to others or having conversations with others. During this time, he learned to play with knives. For his ninth birthday, his fatther gave him a very nice little knife. He fell in love with the things and accidentally scared his face. After the incident with the knives he was good with them, but he didn't really "love" them anymore. He was also soon to be taken on as his father's apprentice, once he healed from his accident.
One day, when they were back at the hold that his father was working for at the moment to bring some runners in for a gather that was coming up, a blue rider found him and took him to Telgar weyr to be a candidate there at a clutch that was coming up. At the age of 16, a shy, unsocial candidate, impressed to the unexpected bronze. Nobody had even noticed the boy really until he impressed bronze, and then the only real thing noticeable was his silentness, and how it seemed he never really wanted to speak out loud, and how mismatched he always was. Yet, he and his dragon understood each other so well, there really is was no need for words.
When he was asked to go to the South, he agreed quickly and was fine with it, or well, Heverth agreed for him, but the difference doesn't really matter. It was then that he learned what they wanted him for, a weyrling master! After much pushing on Heverth's part, K'met agreed. He has a plan he hopes will work, look stern, talk some, let Heverth do a lot of the talking. Though, this might change as he adapts more to his role as weyrling master.
Through all this, he has never gotten a mate. Heverth likes flying after females, even when his rider doesn't always agree, and Heverth still hasn't to this day caught a female, whether she be gold or whether she be green.

Dragon Info:
Name: Heverth
Age: 7
Color: Bronze
Appearance:
Heverth is a light colored bronze that's hide is so transparent it could almost be called ghostly. At first, you might think that Heverth is worn out and needs food and rest, but then you might notice that his light bronze hide shows a shine to it that shows you that Heverth is in quite good health. A healthy and large bronze is always a good dragon to have in a weyr. When he is unhealthy, the only difference is his hide grows darker and less shiny.
Personality:
Heverth could be called steady and reliable. He never does anything unexpected. He is an energy saver, but he is not lazy. He hates fighting and will do anything to stop a fight. He also always eats in exactly five day intervals. He then sleeps for a candlemark after this. The only thing that is unreliable about him is that he never plans anything. You never know what he might do each day, because he takes things as they come, like a giant buffer, protecting his and all those around him from the worries of life, or so it seems. He also carries a quiet authority with him that carries over to his rider in most people's mind.
History:
Heverth barely remembers his impression. He came out of the shell and was scared by all the candidates around, not a normal feeling for a bronze. He noticed a quiet one near the back, someone who didn't feel like making a bunch of noise about everything. He liked the quiet boy. With a quiet authority he walked toward the candidate, taking life as it came. He walked up to the candidate and said, Mine, your Heverth doesn't like this noisy crowd, could we leave it and get food? The strangly pale new bronze was noticed to impress an unnoticeable candidate, but then the talk died down and he was "just another bronze."
Other than that Heverth has taken life as it has come. He remembers Telgar Weyr and deciding to come to the Southern Weyr and he also remembers K'met being asked to become Weyrling Master and pushing his to take the position. Other than that, he does not waste energy trying to remember little things.
