Calex (11) youngest child and least healthy though he does his share of work, no one expects him to survive to adulthood.
Appearance:
Seratol keeps his dark hair just a little long, but never past shoulder length. His locks are dark, on the verge of black, but still look very brown in the light, versus a true bluish black. He rather fancies to grow himself a little facial hair since he's eager to be a 'man.' His skin is softer than the other laborers, since most of his time is spend serving the Capitan indoors rather than on the deck with all the salty air. His eyes are a warm, chocolate brown that are most noticable when he is smiling. His cheeks and his jawline protrude slightly, giving him a more angular look that has been enhanced with the loss of his baby fat. His eyebrows are what really make the difference of whether he is serious or joking.
Seratol is still growing a bit, and should probably be about 5'9 at full height. For now, he's just 5'7, but there is promise yet. He's thinner, even lanky, but a little hard labor should fix that and help him out of an awkward adolencent stage. Given that he has a fine sense of style, he is interested in nice clothes, classy looks, and a little bit of modesty. True, he'd like nothing better than an easy girl at this stage in life, but for the long run, he'd never settle for anything less than a lady. He tries to dress well for the salary he is given to reflect this, though to a real Lord, he'd look quite shabby.
Personality: To play the role of Cabin Boy, one must have patience to deal with an often ill tempered master. You must also take care of any guests upon the ships. Through the years, Sera has developed a silver tongue. He's charismatic, great articulation, and can make you feel anything he wants you to. If he wants to feel calm, you will, if he wants you to feel guilting, you will, he's determined, and it's seldom that he has nothing to say. By the age of 12 he noticed his first girl, or rather, the bawdy women at the tavern. He was very close several times to scoring his own women at the age of 13, if not the other sailors stepped in. He took a few turns then to watch the other men, see where they screwed up and what made women smile. He learned from watching that women really loved to be coddled and pampered, they liked to be flirted with, and they definately liked to be seduced. So Seratol became flirty to nearly the point of shame, but not quite, and women blushed. He was almost rediculous, and pushed the barrier, but the more outrageous he flirted and courted women, the more they gave into him. He learned to be charming, sweet, and flirty. He's a natural at flattery, and he's not afraid to risk anything.
Because he is not strong, as his tasks for the Capitan is mostly companionship and light labor, he must make up for things in other ways, for instance above, his silver tongue. While he is very convincing in argument and seduction, he's all talk, to be sure. He's a poor fighter, and he holds tight to his reputation to push the boundaries to scare off would be adversaries. He assumes most people are bluffing, even hopes they are, so that no one would ever find his weakness in physical action.
Saftey lies in numbers, and Sera longs for popularity and fame and general well likedness. He's outgoing and likes to talk, which may get him in trouble, but for now, he's got his brother to get him out of too much trouble. He likes to make witty jokes and impress people with his worldly knowledge, something you pick up from sailing in the Capitan's quarters. He yearns for some substance to fill the gaping holes in his heart. Since he is all talk, many of his friendships are a facade. His only real confidant is his brother, Destre.
History: Born lucky number seven, it seemed that it was Sera's lot in life to be center stage. Seratol loved attention, he craved it, ever since people started noticing what a natural charmer he was. They said he was the spitting image of his father in his youth (who, by even this time had gained a lot more weight) and they exclaimed what a handsome little boy Seratol was. Great things were expected from the boy who could make family friends riot with laughter. Seratol was bright, speaking his first words before he was a turn old, and talking in full sentances at three turns. He was a pretty child with long, black curls and warm brown eyes, eventually his hair lightened a bit to be brownish, but still, it was clear his mother babied him more than a bit.
Seratol never noticed that Destre was jealous of him, because Sera looked up to his older brother with admiring eyes. Eventually the two became the best of friends, and life was good to Seratol. His father had stayed at the alehouses later and longer through the years, but to a child, he hardly saw that as a problem, he merely accepted that as normal. His mother had a few more children, and grew tired and irritable, but still she was always sweet to Seratol. The boy loved to hum, and had a sweet voice, it was a pleasure to listen to him sing nursery songs. He might have done well in the harper hall, however any such dreams were cut short at before his 8th birthday.
His father came home drunk one late night while Seratol was sleeping. Normally no one bothered the boy since he threw an aweful fit if anyone disturbed his slumber, but sleepily he had clothes thrown upon him and he and Destre were ushered out of the cothold. Sera was so confused. His own mother was kissing him goodbye like she was kicking him out. It wouldn't be until later that he realized that she didn't hate him, but that she couldn't stop the Capitan from taking him.
Seratol charmed the Capitan like he did all strangers, and the boy of seven was very trusting. The capitan, Ethelburt, asked him to be his cabin boy, of course Sera agreed. With this, Seratol was saved from a hard life of ropes and sails and slick decks. Sera's duties included singing and entertaining the capitan, helping organize the cabin, ran errands for his master, attended to the whims of the ship's guests, and was basically like a son to the old grisled capitan. Seratol liked to be pampered, and he didn't see a reason for Destre to constantly keep an eye on him.
When he went ashore, it was almost always with the Capitan to arrange for supplies, carry his master's coat or purchases, but when he was older, he was allowed to go with his brother. When he was twelve, he started to notice women, and he from his brother, he found out what men and women do... intimately. He lost his virginity at the tender age of fourteen. Seratol learned about how to get women of ill repute from the other sailors but eventually he found his own way. Drunken sailors often paid women, and their ways of charm were vulgar and disgusting. Seratol learned to act, he used his charm and charisma to make each girl seem special, and for them to vulnerable to him. By the time the evening was out, the women gave themselves willingly to Seratol, who had by this time grown out of his childhood adorablness to a sort of gangly adolecence. His looks were not totally gone, instead he is being transformed into a different kind of beauty, from cute, to manly.
He recently Impressed to blue Quin, a talkative, friendly if easily distracted dragonet!
Dragon Info:
Name: Quinsyth (He doesn't mind being called Quin for short)
Color: Blue
Appearance: Quinsyth is the color of tropical oceans. Really, quite beautifully colored. He is about average in size and well formed other than a little difference in his right and left eyerides. Nothing anyone but his rider would notice. If he ever pointed it out people might think him a little crazy. He has darker hues of the same blue on his eye ridges and his wing tips. His claws are black.

Personality:
Happy and outgoing are two of his best qualities. He loves people, dragons and that shiny piece of rock over there. Maybe a little ADD but thats simply because he is curious and loves life. He would do anything for a friend, especially if that friend is pretty and likes to flirt with him. It is very hard for him to take things seriously even during lessons.
Background:
While the Bronze made his impression, several more eggs had hatched and impressed. One of these, a lovely blue the color of the ocean near the shores of Star Hold, was watching. The blue and two greens that hatched before him had already left the stands and still he watched. Two more greens hatched followed by a brown. They all seemed to have no trouble finding there life mates. Not that the blue was having trouble, he just wanted the boy to worry. He wanted him to squirm with impatience! Muahaha… oh wow, that hurt. He was hungrier than he thought. The blue finally decided he wanted to make his way to the boy. He practically ran at him, stopping just a split second before he would have crashed into him. Didja see? I missed! Aren’t I good? I’ll be the best dragon ever! You’ll see, S’rtol. Am I not amazing? Oh look over there… The dragon saw other dragons heading for food. Can we eat too? I’m soooo hungry you wouldn’t believe! Quinsyth would be even happier if he got to eat.
