Weyrling Training Schedule
Months 1&2
• Feeding and Care of young Dragonets.
(bathing will be supervised for 1st month
• The dragon-rider bond, how to deal with Telepathy
• First Aid for Humans and Dragons
• Introduction to Wing structure and Wing duties.
• Sorted into Wings based on personality and background (the Weyrlingmaster may change around who is in what wing till the end of training)
Months 3&4
• Making the first set of Weyrling rank cords
• Basic Geography
• Basic Weather Patterns
• Weyr Ettiquette and behavior
• Gold riders – Weyr Management lessons
• Basic Ground drills
Months 5&6
• Physical training for both rider and dragon
• Ground drills continue
• Basic astronomy
• Basic Wing formations
• Bronze riders and those that show leadership
skills will be taken aside for added training
• Chores
Months 7& 8
• Dragon Healing and Anatomy
• Firestone- the basics & Beginner drills
• Care and Use of Flamethrowers (Golds only)
• landscape recognition
• Basics of Between
