Name: Gwynhaver, called Gwyn
Age: 36
Gender: female
Rank: Wingrider
Family:
Father: M'kael, 60, he was a Lord Holder's son, used to being the golden boy of his family when he was searched to ride. He is a brownrider of Xernath. M'kael is very devoted to Givella.
Mother: Givella, 59, her mother was Telgar's Headwoman for many turns. Givella was a greenrider to Jiltorth, and the mother of three girls. She never saw much of them, since they were sent to Hold very young. Since Gwyn has Impressed, the two greenriders have gotten along famously. Though Givella, being brought up in the Weyr, is very different, versus hold-grown Gwyn.
Sisters:
Mehavael, 33, married to a minor holder, and mother of 6.
Mavilla, 31, Telgar laundress. Mother of 5
Weyrmate: K’dyn, 46, brownrider of Ortath. She’s devoted to him, and their love is sweet and enduring. She waited for him through the time while he was gone, and the last 12 turns or so were the happiest of her life. He completes her, and she’d have it no other way.
Children:
Daughters:
Golwyn, 9, by K’dyn
Verdyn, 3, by K’dyn
Sons:
Koldwyn, 7, by K’dyn
Gwolder, 5, by K’dyn
Kaver, 4, by K’dyn
Appearance: She has long brown hair that creates waves down her back. As she gets older, her hair is getting darker and darker brown. Her cheek bones are high, jawline defined, and acts proud. She is about 5'8 and not dainty, though her father's family was once held title of Lord Holder. Her hands still hold the family fine bones, but she is a worker and in fit shape. She is hourglass shaped and very serene looking most of the time. Her face is very expressive.
She wears very feminine clothing, however, she prefers modest necklines and clothing that doesn't fit too tightly. Mostly she wears hues of blue-gray, however, she like many Pernese, will stop to admire a new tunic in guady colors.
Personality: When given some authority, Gwyn can be a bit snappish and very much jealous. She keeps to herself until spoken to-a few manners were drilled into her by her grandmother. She is very proud of both her parents and also wants the bonds they have with their dragons. She is used to work, true, but prefers to be waited on, like any other girl of her status. Gwyn is capable of being very calculative in her ways and is a bit paranoid. She is very reserved, and to those who show her kindness, she gives them her favor. Most of the time she seems shy and quiet because she is unsure of her influence and power. Because of this, she does not want to seem impulsive and ignorant, so she keeps neutral. She can be outspoken if she knows she is within her rights.
Gwyn loves to be held, calmed, and loved by K'dyn. She and since the birth of their children, she has become quite matronly and protective. Gwyn's always been serious, but now she's especially nurturing and worries a lot about her family. The choice of being away from either her children or her weyrmate has been a tough one.
History: Gwyn was born in the Weyr, however her parents had duties to fulfill so they sent her, followed by her sisters as they were born, to live with her father's family. From little on, Gwyn had been educated with her cousins, who would one day rule their Hold. She was taught to read and write, how to do figures, and of course, lady like manners. Her grandparents died when she was 5 turns old, when her uncle took the title. He was the same rigid type of ruler his father had been. He was very conservative, and often did not let her go playing in near by fields or spend much time with boys other than her cousins. In other words, Gwyn led a very sheltered childhood. Gwyn was a very aggreeable child, and her uncle hoped to arrange for her to marry a minor holder's son.
Gwyn was 11 years old when the Search came through the hold for queen candidates. She remembers it well. There were dragons outside, a bronze among them, and they were looking for candidates. She had snuck away from her nannie to go outside, and she stared up in wonderment at the dragons. Gwyn was too young to be searched then, but she hoped that one day she'd have a chance to stand. Later she was told it would be unlikely, since girls were only gathered for gold eggs.
Life went by slowly. Gwyn learned to play a harp to entertain a future husband, and she embroidered much of the day as well. She was often giving the task of pouring her uncles cup at dinner, and her life was dreary and dull. Gwyn had few companions outside of her sisters and three cousins, and she rarly got to speak with the guests at the hold. Gwyn wanted more out of life, and she planned on getting it.
When Gwyn was 16 she was allowed to go visit her parents at Telgar Weyr. The last time she saw them, they had come to the hold. It had been five full turns since she saw them, and was eager to see dragons again. Gwyn and her sisters packed up and were going to the Weyr, their timing would be around when the next clutch would hatch. Gwyn arrived, more excited than Mehavael, and just as excited as Mavilla. Mehavael was actually scared of the dragons, and did not even want to go to the hatching initially. Gwyn and Mavilla left their parents to go sit in the front row and watched all the eggs with wide eyes. There were no queen eggs, but this was a truely delightful day.
The first egg cracked, and then another, and then another. They were all male dragonets and one boy cried out something along the lines of "His name is Torenth!" She couldn't remember too well because what happened next was all that mattered. The fourth egg broke open and it revealed the first green of the clutch. The green wailed out, not liking any of the candidates it saw. Then a voice entered her head, a sweet, female voice, GwynMine! What are you doing up there? Aurath is down here. And I am hungry! Come down at once! Gwyn's eyes widened again and she rushed from her sister, who was quite confused, and entered the sands, pushing people out of the way telling them, "She's calling me, Aurath's calling me," as an excuse. Gwyn never expected to Impress that day, but was quite glad when she did.
Gwyn was always a shy child, and Aurath seemed to have a snarky comment for everything. Aurath loved browns, better than blues, she had said one day, however, any one who complimented her would be returned with a soft croon and happy eyes. Aurath was a flirt, and she wanted what she wanted-meaning she was a little agressive and was very jealous. She hated it when a brown or blue she liked was swimming with another green, but Gwyn was quick to soothe her. The pair made it through weyrlinghood, and then what faced her scared Gwyn to death: First Flight. Gwyn was still a virgin, no male had ever touched her, and she had only been kissed a few times. Of course there was a rider she was sweet on, but one never knew when it came to flights. Her first flight was won by a bronze, but he didn't stay with her, or even really talked to her. He just wanted to win, and knew he could. It was Gwyn's first heartbreak. And she still is hesitant with flight partners because of him. She was always a sensitive girl, and the first partner she had didn't give a d**n about her. She was not in a very good mood for a sevenday after that. Other riders who won Aurath were better to her, though she never really was loved by any of them. Gwyn is not at all good at being promiscuious.
Her sister married the man originally picked out for Gwyn, and they settled down at his hold, with in three turns they have two children, a boy and a girl. Gwyn's younger sister, on the other hand, permanently moved to the Weyr, hoping to get a chance to Impress. Mavilla and Gwyn are particularly close to one another, and with out the encouragment of more outgoing Mavilla, Gwyn might not have been able to move on.
The first time Gwyn and Aurath were caught by K’dyn and Ortath she was hopeful, though as gossip goes, she had heard there was another woman he was keen on. She tried to stay away from him, but then Ortath won Aurath again. There was a chemistry between them, and before their affections could develop into love, K’dyn was sent back in time. Gwyn found herself courted by another brownrider, the Weyrlingmaster, and he sufficed. Things didn’t work out as planned, and when K’dyn returned, it was Ortath who won Aurath first, and Gwyn succumbed to her former feelings. It wasn’t long before the pair were weyrmated. Their first child was Golwyn, followed by their sons, Koldwyn, Gwolder, and Kaver, and finally their little girl, Verdyn.
Then K’dyn was called upon again, once their life had been settled, and she feared she would loose him for good. Secretly Gwyn got the coordinates from Ortath through Aurath, and she was bound and determined to follow him to the ends of Pern if she had to. Even if it meant traveling back 200 turns and sacrificing the life she made for herself at Telgar.

Dragon Info:
Name: Aurath
Age: 20
Color: Green
Appearance: Aurath is a blue-green aura of radiance. She, being a green, is not huge, but rather petite. With her small stature, brings quickness, she's an excellent flyer, and perhaps, if thread returns, she will be one of the best fighter pilots in the ranks! Or even a Searchrider!
i19.photobucket.com/albums/b186/iluvodie/aurathhide.jpg
Personality: Aurath is quite the "lady". She often thinks herself worthy of the rank of queen. She is truely devoted to her rider, bowever, and often reflects some of Gwyn's jealousies and paranoia. And is quite given to an excellent intuition. She has an eye for the males, which might contribute to the 'silly' reputation of greens. She is ambitious for her rider, and often comments that Gwyn should be more outgoing.
History: The moment Aurath hatched she knew that Hers was not standing there with the boys. The green pushed past the boys and then looked up and found Hers. She couldn't understand why Gwyn was up there and not down here feeding her. Aurath was always a snappy little thing, although despite her frequent jealousies, Aurath gets along pretty well with other greens. Aurath has been caught by a bronze on her First flight, but since then, it's been only blues and browns. Not that the green is complaining. She loves all males. She’s been consistently caught by Brown Ortath, especially since His and Hers have been Weyrmates.
