Appearance:
Dakian is a rather thin young man. His blonde hair would be curly if he grew it out longer, but he keeps it at a length perfect for running fingers through, and does not try to tame it, liking the slightly ruffled look. He has blue eyes which can be rather intense, and a long but delicate nose. He has a dimple when he smiles, and his thin frame has a slight covering of muscles. He likes to pout, because he knows that pouting is very sexy on him.
Dakian's skin is very fair, so much so that it tends to freckle. He occassionally likes to go shirtless, so he does freckle from time to time. When he's dressed, he likes to wear finer clothes in pretty colors, particularly blues or soft greys that call out the color of his eyes.
Personality:
Dakian is neither the baby of the family nor the eldest, but one of several middle children. While his parents were loving when he was young, he was often over looked for one of his older siblings, especially when it became clear that he would not, like most of his brothers, follow in his father's footsteps. While his delicate nature charmed his mother, his father was disgusted that one of his sons would be so very feminine.
And Dakian is rather feminine. He cares a lot about clothing and appearance and likes pretty things. He does not like to get dirty, and never enjoyed playing guards as a child. He is also very sensitive. His feelings can get hurt very easily, and he fears disappointing those he cares about, those whose approval is extremely important to him. He's also very needy, thriving on attention, and wilting when he is ignored. Sometimes, this neediness gets him in trouble as he'll do almost anything to get the attention he desires.
Once he has found someone who approves of him, he may find himself being rather clingy, but he'll do anything to please that person. He has felt out of control for a very long time, so he longs for someone to protect him and to make everything ok.

Dakian was the 4th of 5 children born to Irwor and Atasa. When he was born, his parents were ecstatic to have another son, though they loved their daughters as well. For a while, he was loved and even doted upon, being the last child that the couple thought they would have.
It was not really the birth of Rodas that changed the boy's life, though that was a part of it. It had already been noticed that Dakian was extremely sensitive, shrinking into himself when he was yelled at, not wanting to play guards with the other children, and actually interested in the sewing which his mother did for the small house. With the advent of another son, Irwor was able to accept that one of his sons was a disappointment, and while Atasa tried to make up for the neglect, she was busy and rarely able to lavish the attention that Dakian craved on the young boy.
Dakian was never abused as he grew up, though occasionally, his father or one of his brothers would try to make him more of a "boy." His father did not like that his son was different, but was determined that he would not be a "pervert." So, when he was 13, under the instruction of their father, his older brothers began to try to introduce the young Dakian to girls. While he got on well with them, he never did develop the interest in them that everyone hoped he would.
At 14, Dakian did, however, develop his first romantic interest. Serbel was one of the younger sons of the Lord Holder, though he was 2 turns older than Dakian. As a member of a Lord Holder's house, Serbel was very demanding, but always rewarded Dakian for doing his bidding, and eventually, Serbel took Dakian as a lover. However, in public, Serbel was cruel to Dakian - not wanting to attract any attention to himself as someone attracted to men. Dakian never understood the cruelty, and while he loves Serbel, he has come to accept that this is only a temporary relationship.
