Appearance:
He’s got darker hair than anyone else in his mother’s family(they’re all blonds), but instead has the very red hair of R’net’s family. His eyes are bright blue, and he’s got a big freckle under his left eye. Very good natured, he’s always smiling. Reiko is so sweet he nearly always gets out of trouble, though he rarely gets into trouble at all.
R'ko takes after his father when it comes to clothing: as long as it looks good, and it's comfortable, then it's perfect. His range of colors was broader than his fathers, but part of transferring to Nova meant giving up certain dyes that no one has learned to make in Southern- yet.
He's tall, an inch of six feet, taking after both his mother and his father, though he's slightly thicker than his father ever was. R'ko enjoys his foods, and his frame is larger than his fathers, and as long as most of it is muscle, the Brownrider doesn't much care. He has a thick scar on his right shoulder where he was Threadscored. During bad weather, it hurts, but never before the bad weather actually starts. He wears a ring on a chain around his neck, and any comment about it will result in a fight. It's also one of the only things he'll fight about, but that ring is very special.
Personality:
Raised by woman, including the formidable Mari of Beynath, as well as three(four if you could his oldest sister) strong ladies, R'ko knows better than to ever underestimate a lady. He respects the idea of women on Green, which, due to his time Timing It with several Greenriders, is exactly what R'net had planned on happening. He had a small crush on Weyrwoman Elisha before he transferred Weyrs, and had consigned that to never work out as well. He likes women who are in power, and wishes that he could find a woman that powerful to be in a relationship with. Unfortunately, he has yet to find one, and has never been in a serious relationship.
While his dragon has as many trysts as he has energy, R'ko fell out of love with Dragonflight a while ago, feeling slightly used after each encounter. He's known for being polite, but distant after all Flights, as well as being known as elusive, and a very good kisser(which oddly enough, works out).
R'ko loves children. He finds them simply hilarious, and spends more time with his half sibs than R'net does. Having none of his own, and being many years older than them, he often acts as both father and brother.
Some things don't change because of age, case in point: R'ko sweet tooth. He’s got a sweet tooth a mile wide, and would eat bubbly pies all day if anyone would let him, and oddly enough, doesn’t have a problem with veggies. He isn’t a big fan of most meats, and will not eat fish unless they are fresh. Same with fruits- dried fruits gross him out.
While he was a Wingthird back at Telgar, often subbing in for an older brown Wingsecond, he dropped back down to just Wingrider at Nova. R'ko isn't sure how to take that. On the one hand, he was displaced by an Igen rider. On the other hand, it's giving him a chance to get to know the smaller Weyr, and a chance to work on refining his weyr, and practicing with Desh. He misses the little bit of power and the idea that he was good enough for the power.
History:
The result of a green flight between Bronzerider R’net, and Greenrider Mariko, Reiko wasn’t lost like so many children of Greenriders due to injury to both the rider and the dragon that kept them from Betweening for the first trimester. When Mariko realized she was pregnant, the craft bred greenrider was excited for her first(and only) child.
He was also the retired Weyrwoman’s first great grandchild, and R’net’s first child. Spoilt rotten, given a place with one of the best foster families, Reiko hadn't known a day of want, nor did he expect to ever. He’s snuck into far more places than he should be allowed, and knew every single way to get into Mari’s weyr.
He was sick in the first epidemic of Pern, but survived due to Mari and Neory’s(before she impressed) good care. The second time, he didn't get as much as a sniffle, and continued to plague his family with pranks, giggles, and a great demand for bubbly pies.
Then he followed R'net when he Timed It to become candidate for Neory's first clutch, sired by his father's bronze. He liked the Timing It community, which was close knit, and loving, and understanding. He is still close to most of those who went along, and it is them who he shall miss most now that he's traveling through time again. He's happy that K'dyn is coming along as well, though he knows that the other Brownrider is not pleased.
After Timing It, he returned, fifteen turns, and ready to Impress. And like almost every single Timing It child allowed onto the sands, he Impressed. And they entered into Weyrling Training, which R'ko actually loved. While most of it was repeat information that he learned while Timing It, he liked that most of the children he knew were still in his class, and if the other children thought they were a little strange, none of them really cared.
And then he was tapped, and put into Zahra Wing, which really didn't make a perfect fit, but with his father running Triveni, and Pyralis not being any better, he stuck it out, eventually moving up to Wingthird, and occationally subbing for an older Brownrider who really should have retired by then.
And then Thread began to fall. It was a horrible time, as all of the Weyrs in Pern tried to fight back, and while their was a birth boom it was arriving too late, and a desperate sort of trading began to occur as finding those to ride Threadfall became scarcer. And while he remained fighting, taking his Desh's threadscores and the death or harsh scoring of friends stoically, it was a painful time. Then, slowly, the Wings grew better at fighting Thread, and their was generally less Scores, and less death, other than the Weyrlings who remained the most likely to die.
And that was when he was transferred to Nova. It wasn't like he was leaving behind anything more than a slight(major) crush on the Weyrwoman, and the new Weyr offered escape from Thread. And his ability when it came to making sure Riders could fly in Zahra wing was a plus as well.
So far, despite not being allowed his Wingthird Rank back, R'ko likes Nova, and hopes to continue enjoying it for some time.

Desh is a large, reddish brown. He's speckled with little scars, and several big ones located on his neck, forearm, and his lower left foot. Both he and R'ko take the harder spots in the Wing whenever possible, and Desh has the scars to show it. While they are good at flying, they aren't perfect, and they have the speckles.
While he's not particularly agile, he is a very strong brown, and is very proud of that fact, and while neither he nor R'ko are obsessive about training, they do practice quite a bit.
Personality:
Desh really likes the ladies. He loves Greens, he loves the aloof Golds, he loves the shrieking and giggles of human ladies. He loves being adored, and he loves flying. He love chases, and loves catching Greens. Desh just mostly loves. He's the more energetic of the pair, and often is the one to cause R'ko to make new friends. He's never spoken to anyone but R'ko, but he probably will eventually. When he meets the right person.
He loves the new heat in Nova, and has started waking up earlier to get the better sunning spot, because he's not bossy enough to make someone else move. He loves the beach, and has been trying to make a tradition of going to the beach every rest day. So far, he has been only somewhat successful, but he'll keep trying. He's stubborn, and knows that given enough time, you can wear even a gold down.

Once, their was a young Gold, who was having her very first clutch. And from that Clutch came Deshenoreth, who's young rider was almost unable to yell his dragon's name out, because it was long and hard to say. While they survived that difficulty, some say that R'ko has never forgiven the Brown. And that the rider has never said the full name of his brown since- which would be true, except for those drunken rants about that name.
And the Brown remembers Weyrling turns, and Flights, and colder sunning spots, and other things. But not really. Because those things remind him of Thread, and Thread reminds him of Threadscores, and death, and other bad things. So he'd rather think about the now instead. It's much nicer now.
