Jeyna grinned as she looked around their new weyr. She would miss visiting her family, and even some of her friends back at Telgar, but she was content, happy. So was Ragoth as he sunned happily on the ledge, just barely awake, he definitely liked this new climate, though he would not admit that the colder clime was hard on the aging dragon, the warm weather of the south made him a very happy dragon.
Jeyna grinned as she saw the hides she had given Amneris as a graduation present, a way of celebrating that Labeth and she had graduated, and a way of showing Amneris that she wanted her to keep up with her music, and that Jeyna would support her in that. She gently brushed her fingers over the hides, careful not to smear the ink on them, remembering how blind she'd been, and how patient 'Neris had been.
She chuckled softly, shaking her head. She reflected out loud to herself, "I never thought I'd like being caught, but I have to say, it's nice. Really nice." She grinned as she moved her hand away from the hides, not one to usually be sentimental, though 'Neris sometimes brought several oddities out in the Blue Riding woman.

Labeth landed on the ledge as deftly and quietly as she could. Amneris promptly dismounted and took off Labeth's riding gear. It was another beautiful day in paradise. Not a bad place to spend the rest of eternity. The greenrider had only been gone for a little while though it seemed that Jeyna was settling in while she was gone.
She was walking into the weyr when she heard Jeyna speaking. Amneris was not one to hide her emotions and promptly said, "Do I know this person who caught you?" She knew who Jeyna spoke of but her teasing side was coming out. The taller blonde was full of positive energy and was almost bouncing off the walls with it. She came over to Jeyna and pulled her into a hug.
"The place looks great." She said as she moved away from the bluerider again. "So what do you think of the new Wingleader?" Amneris wasn't particularly thrilled but he seemed to have enough experience. Who knew he might not mind that he had women riders in his wing. At the very least she had Jeyna with her . As she thought of these things, Labeth settled down to lay next to Ragoth.

"Mmm... I think you're familiar with her. She's a gorgeous blonde who has no idea how beautiful she is. With a voice that stirs my blood." She gladly wrapped her arms around her lover, glad, as always, to have her in her arms.
Ragoth scooted slightly to be against Labeth, not putting his wing over her, as he knew how good the warm sun felt and did not want to take that away from her, but touching.
"I'm glad you like. I have to admit, it's odd not having a pen for Pixie." She shook her head, "I never would have thought I would have grown attached to the runt, but I did." She sighed a bit, finding it amazing how much she missed the puppy (even as a dog, she thought of her as a pup).
She watched Amneris, smiling as she did so. "I think in some ways that I'd rather be in R'net's. But at the same time, I like the challenge of having prove just how sharding brilliant we are to the Igen dimglow." She waggled her eyebrows at her lover, grinning as she did so. "I half wish he'd be dumb enough to let his dragon try for Labeth... just to gloat." She winked at her.
"I just hope whichever Queen flies first, we can convince them just how good women Riders can be. I know where Neory stands, but that Igen girl?" She shook her head, "I suspect I know where she stands as well."

Amneris was smiling to the point of blushing slightly while Jeyna spoke about her. After breaking from their hug she continued to look around the weyr. Nodding she added, "It is hard knowing that they are all gone. I always did have a softspot for canines." The greenrider sighed a little at that. It was sad not having a pet but then a dragon could feel like an oversized pet at times. As this wasn't the most cheerful subject, Amneris looked back at Jeyna to make sure she was alright.
"My thoughts too. I'd like him to see that female riders are just as good, if not better than male riders. Besides what experience does he have with them that he can make a decision like that." She chuckled lightly, "He was probably angry when he found out he had women in his wing." As she caught wind of Jeyna's statement she laughed more heartily.
Labeth might be a little flattered by the thought but she would not choose a Bronze of Ragoth. "You could tease him about it too. Bronze can't even beat a blue in a greenflight..." Amneris had to say it was almost mean. "Goldriders are in a hard place though. Maybe Igen made her believe that women on greens was bad and therefore we can easily change her mind."

Jeyna chuckled softly and moved to take Amneris back into her arms. "We'll show him, 'Neris." She nuzzled quietly into her hair for just a moment. "We're too good not to. And I have to say that I would not mind, at all, showing him up."
"And maybe." She grinned, her 'Neris finding the good, or at least the potential good, in Lazreen. Jeyna would still prefer that Neory win though, perhaps it was loyalty, or perhaps it was trust, but Neory was not sure what would happen exactly if Lazreen was to win. "Well, we'll make sure that, if she does win, she'll know just how wonderful female riders can be."
